I had just spent the last $10 on flowers for a customer who was ill and was praying about the next $10.
I had the day off from work and was off to get my haircut. While I was waiting for my turn with my hairdresser I was thinking that I really needed to stop at the store to pick up some items. Well, when I get my haircut I don’t get it styled, instead I usually leave with a wet curly head. My hairdresser was going to give me a new style and blow dried my hair because it was so cold outside.
I got into my car and decided to go to the neighborhood Walmart right down the street. No one would know me there as it was far away from my house.
I entered the store and there in the front was a big section of flowers. My sister had recently had carpal tunnel surgery on both her hands and at this point had not received any flowers. I stood at that section for at least 5 minutes trying to decide what kind to get her. Then I saw the baby carnations. They were beautiful and the price was so good I decided to get my mom some also.
Let’s face it, almost every woman loves to get flowers and it means even more if they are not expecting them. Why do we always wait for a special occasion to get them? More husbands would have much happier wives if they would bring home flowers unexpectedly. Trust me on this, I am a woman!
I finally decided on the two bunches and off I went to get the rest of the items on my list. I arrived home and delivered the flowers to both mom and my sister. Yes, they weren’t expecting them, but the look on their faces said it all.
